한국의 명절
Q. Tell me about the big holidays in Korea like New Year's day. What do you do? What do you eat?
There are two representative holidays which are New Year's Day and Thanksgiving Day in Korea. Relatives gather and make food for memorial service for our ancestors the day before Thanksgiving Day. Mostly women prepared the food in the past, but men prepare together in these days. We eat rice cake which is called Song-pyeon and make a wish to the full moon.
On the other hand, some people who don't prepare any ceremonies because of religious reason in Thanksgiving Day go to the foreign countries during the holidays.
