The police are in charge of various things. First, they take care of civil affairs. Many people call 112 and ask for help. The police accept applications for many different matters.
They drive the police car to patrol the town to see if there's a problem. If some people report to 112 or to the police, they move to the scene right away.
If someone gets hurt at the time the police arrive, they call 119 for the ambulance. If a crime has been committed, the police conduct an investigation to determine who committed the crime.
