Q. How much free time do people have in your country? Do people get a lot of time-off from work? What ate the rules about taking time off from work?

People in Korea normally get personal holidays for about 2 weeks each year and they usually save up to take a vacation during the summer and winter.
When necessary, they take a day off, but usually it is used for taking care of urgent personal things.
The rules about taking time off from work are up to the atmosphere of the company and team leader sometimes.
It means that there are no specific rules, but team leader may not approve the day off because of shortage of manpower or heavy workload.
On the contrary, IT companies normally assure the vacation for business efficiency.
Nonetheless, they need to do extra work before and after the vacation because the workload would increase while they are gone for a vacation.
