Even

A. Study this example situation:

Lucy loves watching television.

She has a TV set in every room of the house - ​even the bathroom.

We use ​even to say that something is unusual or surprising. It is unusual to have a TV set in the bathroom.

Some more examples:
This program is really awful. ​Even I could take better video than this. (and I'm certainly not a good video jockey)
He always wear a hat - ​even in his house.

B. 문장 중간에서 동사와 함께 ​even 매우 자주 사용:
Ace loves tracking the mountain. He has ​even been to the Mt. Fuji in Tokyo.
(It's especially unusual to go to the Mt. Fuji, so he must have tracked a lot.)
He is very rich. He ​even has his own private jet.

not even의 예:
She can't cook. She ca​n'teven cook a noodle. (and cook a noodle is very easy)

C. ​even + comparative (cheaper/ more expensive, etc.) 사용 가능:
I got up very early, but Sofia got up ​even​ earlier.
I was surprised to get a message from you. I was ​even more surprised when she came to see me last month.

D. ​Even though/ ​even when/ ​even if
​even though/ ​even when/ ​even if + subject + verb 사용 가능:

​Even though he can't drive, he bought a car.
He never shouts, ​even when he's angry.
I'll probably see you next month in Gyeongju. But ​even if I don't see you in Gyeongju, I'm sure we'll see each other in other place.

​even을 위와 같은 방식으로 사용하지 않음:
​Even though he can't drive, he bought a car. (not ​Even he can't drive)

​Even if ​if의 비교:
We're going to Gyeongju next month. It doesn't matter whether the earthquake come or not.
We're going ​to Gyeongju even if the earthquake is coming.
We want to go Gyeongju, but we won't go ​if the earthquake is coming.
