Word Order 1:
Verb + Object; Place and Time
A. Verb + object
동사와 목적어는 일반적으로 함께 간다. 둘 사이에 다른 단어들은 넣지 않는다.
I like my girl friend very much. (not I like very much my girl friend)
Will you see your friend tonight?
Sofia often play badminton.
동사와 목적어가 각각 같이 오는 다음의 예를 보라.
Do you eat breakfast every day? (not Do you eat every day breakfast)
Many women like Bogeom very much. (not like very much Bogeom)
Your teacher spoke Spanish fluently. (not spoke fluently Spanish)
B. Place and time
동사와 장소(where?)은 함께 간다:
go home, live in a city, walk to school, etc.
동사가 목적어를 가지고 있을 경우, 장소는 동사+목적어 뒤에 온다:
take somebody home, meet a friend at the gate no.2
Time(when?/ how often?/ how long?) 시간 표현은 주로 장소 뒤에 놓인다:
Place + Time
Sofia walks to school every morning. (not every morning to work)
She arrived at the school early.
I have been studying in the library since July.
장소뒤에 시간이 오는 다음의 예를 보라:
I'm going to Pohang on Tuesday. (not I'm going on Tuesday to Pohang)
I have lived in the same building for a long time.
Ahn gave me a ride home after the meeting.
You really shouldn't go to bed so late.
문장의 시작에 time을 두는 것도 종종 가능하다:
On Tuesday I'm going to Pohang.
Every morning I go to the swimming pool.
